About Me

“It took me my whole life to learn to draw like a child”.
~ Pablo Picasso

In my formative years, I was captivated by creative pursuits. I spent most of my time drawing, designing, and immersing myself in artistic endeavors, while music played in the background, fueling my imagination and transporting me to a realm of beauty and escape.

The 24-color crayon box was insufficient for my artistic vision, craving the diversity of the 96-color box. Favorite color? An impossible question, as I would have presented a fistful of options, subject to change at a whim.

My passion for art persisted throughout my 12 years of schooling, ultimately leading to my first major in high school, with English as my second major, nurturing my affection for writing and poetry.

After my academic journey came to an end, my artistic endeavors became infrequent and lacked direction, causing me to feel inept and too old to re-engage with my creative aspirations. However, God has a unique way of bringing us back to the things that are intricately intertwined with our hearts, our passions, and our purposes.

“The richness I achieve comes from nature, the source of my inspiration”.
~ Claude Monet

In 2018, my husband and I had the fortunate experience of moving into a home that exceeded our expectations, boasting a serene and secluded location surrounded by lush trees and diverse wildlife. This picturesque sanctuary served as an inspiration for my artistic pursuits, allowing me to draw inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounded me and pay homage to our Creator’s artistic mastery
From the comfort of my couch, I started to create art pieces inspired by the birds that come and go from the feeders lining our front porch, using a range of mediums such as colored pencils, acrylics, and oil paints.

“What is done in love is done well”.
~ Vincent Van Gogh

The day I pulled out my watercolor tin and brushes marked a turning point in my life, as I discovered the true love of blending color with water and bringing the beauty of the world to life in both nature and my imagination, reawakening the little girl inside me who never loses excitement at its splendor.

Ohio has been my home for most of my life, allowing me to experience the full glory of nature’s changing seasons. Where having the privilege of a short time spent living in Europe, cultivated an appreciation for replicating the historical context and charm of ancient architecture stirring my hearts desire to return to the places I’ve yet to visit.

With every brush stroke of water and color I desire to infuse your spaces and your hearts with the radiance of nature and architecture, inspiring a sense of awe and connection to the world He created for you to find Him in.

“A watercolor painting is a river of color that stirs your heart into a joyful dance of gratitude”.
~ Gwen Tilley
